During your stay in Rennes, the CMI is still here for you. They continue to help you with a lot of procedures like public transport subscription, health care and taxes.
The CMI, in partnership with the CIREFE, is also here to help you improve your French. French as a foreign language classes are provided researchers, their spouse and PhD students and part of the costs could be covered by the CMI.
The CMI also organise events to discover Rennes, Brittany and meet other people. On the agenda, you can find concerts, excursions or speed meeting. For PhD students and resaerchers, afterworks are proposed to meet and asked questions to professionals who are here to talk about their experience and their career. The CMI advises some ideas to go out in Rennes. They work with the associtation ESN (Erasmus Student Network) which is one of the main Rennes associations for the integration of international students in the youngest town in Brittany.
The Maison Internationale de Rennes (MIR) provides information on events of an international nature in the greater Rennes area and organizes events to discover international current affairs.
The Regional Youth Information Centre (CRIJ) is a centre dedicated to providing anonymous and free information to young people about studies, professions, employment, accommodation, health, leisure, holidays and international mobility.
Rennes-China association : This association is devoted to developing knowledge about China, its culture, language and current affairs.
Confucius : Its goal is to promote Chinese culture and language, by associating Chinese and foreign partners.
Franco-American Institute : The institute proposes an Anglophone library, regular conferences, encounters with writers, exhibitions, concerts, etc.
Franco-German Centre : This association proposes German classes, but also cultural events, such as conferences or exhibitions.
