Why did you choose ENS Rennes ?

I received a Fulbright grant to do a master’s degree here in France in which I specifically chose ENS Rennes because of the program offered in environmental science. 

What studies did you do before ? What would you like to do after ENS Rennes ?

I studied biology with a focus on ecology and I also studied French. I received a bachelor's degree in each. After, I would like to continue my studies and get a PhD.

Did you experience a culture shock when you arrived in France ?

I experienced a bit of culture shock when I arrived regarding different teaching methods when comparing France to the U.S. luckily, I feel that I've gotten used to it now and it's becoming easier with each week. 

What difficulties did/do you encounter during your international experience ?

It can be hard to integrate with my classmates who are all French. They are all very welcoming but my B2-C1 level of French can level my feeling isolated, especially in social settings. But also, the longer I am here the easier it is becoming to fit in with the others.
